Home visits from £49
No call-out charge hidden at the bottom of an invoice, and no price you only find out at the door.
Rates

A home visit, up to 60 minutes
Includes working out what is wrong and putting it right if it is something straightforward that fits in the time.

Each further 30 minutes
Only after we have agreed it together. I will not quietly add extra time to the bill.

Larger installation and networking jobs
I quote larger jobs separately so you know the whole figure before I start.
How it works
Tell me what is going wrong and I'll explain what I think needs checking and what the visit will cost. If you are happy, we can arrange a time. If not, you have lost nothing.
If the job turns out to be bigger than expected once I am there, I'll stop and talk through the options with you first.
Paying
I accept payment by Bank transfer or PayPal.
Equipment
A great many problems come down to how things are set up rather than the equipment. I won't recommend something new unless it is needed.
Where new hardware genuinely is the answer, you can buy it yourself on my recommendation, or I can source and supply it for you. Either way we agree the cost before anything is bought.
Why it works this way
Because a price list would be a work of fiction
“Wi-Fi problem” covers everything from a router sitting in the wrong cupboard to a house that genuinely needs wiring. A single fixed price for that would either overcharge the easy jobs or leave the hard ones half-finished.
The figure we agree before the visit is the figure. It only changes if you agree to more time, or if it becomes a larger job that I quote separately.
